There are many hands-on zoos these days that allow visitors to touch and feed them, but a snake biting a child took a picture with a large snake.

Reporter Cheol-jin Kim of TJB reports.

Last weekend, 6-year-old Ms. A visited an experiential zoo in Daejeon with her parents.

At the end of the fun time taking pictures with a large snake, the snake bites Miss A's hand, turning it into horror in an instant.

[A's mother: I said hello to take a picture and come out, and the moment I put the camera down, the child screamed...

.]

The experience hall was devastated by the cries of children waiting for their turn.

There was a zookeeper right next to him, but he couldn't open the snake's mouth right away, and the situation continued for several minutes.

This is an adult Burmese python with a length of 2m.

Although it is not poisonous, it has a strong jaw, so it is difficult for an adult male to get out once bitten.

Even the people around him opened the snake's mouth and the situation was finished, but the accident left deep scars on Miss A's right hand, and Miss A is showing symptoms of anxiety when separated from her parents.

Ms. A's parents were outraged, saying that there was no guidance from the zoo and the zookeeper about the dangers.

[ Mom

of A: This is dangerous, so I did not hear any notices or instructions such as, 'Please take care of the children a little more.']

[Experience-type zoo official: This reptile room will be transformed from an experience hall to an exhibition hall, and the manual will be more compact to educate our staff…

.]

It is pointed out that as much as the popularity of experiential zoos is, it is urgent to prepare countermeasures for safety accidents.
