A photo has been released showing about 10 cats left suffering from disease and hunger in a house full of garbage and mold.

According to the Gwangju Animal Protection Association Weed on the 14th, a report was received that several cats were living in an apartment in Nam-gu, Gwangju, not eating properly and living in a mixture with dirty filth.

When an activist personally visited the site, 13 cats were living in an apartment of less than 10 pyeong without adequate food and water.

The floor inside the house was littered with garbage, and the floor was full of black mold without wallpaper.

There was no sign of taking care of the cat.

It has been confirmed that Mr. A, who brought stray cats and raised them, does not live in the apartment and has a family relationship with the owner of the house.

It is also known that Mr. A is claiming ownership of the cats.

Weed and the local government plan to sue A to the investigation agency for violating the Animal Protection Act.

Meanwhile, the Gwangju City Cat Mom Council in connection with Weed is looking for a way to help 13 abandoned cats, but complained that it would be difficult without transfer of ownership.

At the same time, he urged active relief measures, saying that support from local governments, such as treatment costs and protective spaces for cats suffering from skin diseases and malnutrition, is also urgent.
