[Park Young-ae/Gangnam-gu, Seoul: The lawn is spacious and beautifully planted, and the old people ride in this (cart) so it doesn't hurt my legs and it's very good.]

Beyond the pinwheels in the lawn, you can see the presidential office building.

The security robot that covered the front yard definitely caught the attention of visitors.

Today, the second day of the pilot opening of Yongsan Park site, 2,500 citizens visited this place.

It used to be a lawn where American soldiers exercised, but it has been turned into a space where citizens can enjoy leisure.

The area open to the public is a 1.1km section near Shin Yongsan Station, a straight-line distance from the residence of the US general to the north of the National Museum of Korea.

Although there are not many places to hide from the hot sun or to see yet, children and adults alike enjoyed a leisurely early summer weekend in a park in the city center.

However, the constant controversy over soil contamination within the site is worrisome.

Yongsan Park will be open until the 19th of this month on a trial basis, and will be reopened in September after collecting public opinions.
