A fire broke out at a lawyer's office building near the Daegu District Court in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, killing seven people and injuring dozens.



A fire broke out on the second floor of the 7-story building behind the court in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu at around 10:55 am today (the 9th).



Seven unidentified people inside the building were killed in the fire, and more than 40 were injured, including inhaling smoke.



Dozens of people inside were also evacuated.



At the time of the fire, a report was received at 119 that "black smoke was seen and an explosion sound was heard from the second floor of the building."



When the fire broke out, 50 fire engines and 160 firefighters were mobilized to put out the fire and rescue the residents.



The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.



Fire officials are checking to see if there are any more casualties.



The police are investigating whether the arson was caused by the fact that there was a situation in which a client complained at the time of the fire.



The building on fire is located at the back of the courthouse and is home to a concentration of lawyers' offices.
