A woman who was being protected by the police due to the continuous approach of a man who broke up while dating in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, was stabbed to death by a knife wielded by the man.



Ansan Sangnok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced today (8th) that they are investigating a man A in his 60s on charges of stabbing and killing his ex-girlfriend for not meeting him (murder, etc.).



Person A is charged with stabbing and killing a woman in her 40s, B, in the abdomen at 10:20 am today in the hallway on the first floor of a villa in Ansan City.



Immediately after her crime, Mr. A moved to his residence on the first floor of her villa and committed suicide.



The police rushed to the scene after receiving a report from a neighbor and immediately arrested Mr. A at his home, and he was transported to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment.



A and B lived on the 1st and 3rd floors of the same building, and it is said that they broke up after dating for about 4 months from the end of last year.



Earlier, in the middle of last month, Mr. B reported, "Mr. A contacted me and said, 'Why don't you meet?'", and she reported that she was receiving personal protection measures along with a smart watch from the police.



It is reported that Mr. A had been charged with violating the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes by blocking the front door and swearing when he met Mr. B at the common entrance of the villa he was living in at around 3:30 pm yesterday, the day before the crime



It is known that she never reported using the smart watch that Mr. B had been given.



The police are planning to investigate the details of the crime and other crimes against A.
