Today (the 5th) around 4:29 pm, a van running near the Yeoju rest area in the direction of Yeongdong Expressway, Yeongdong Expressway, Myeonggok-dong, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do collided with a guardrail.
In the accident, two people, including a man in his 70s, who were in the vehicle, were killed, and the remaining 6 passengers were injured.
The people in the vehicle were friends in their 70s who were on a picnic, the police believe.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
