Yoon Gyeol, a former drummer of the band 'Jannabi', who was investigated by the prosecution for assaulting a woman, has been suspended from prosecution.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office for Women and Children Crime Investigation has suspended the prosecution of Yoon, who is accused of injury, etc.

Deferred prosecution refers to a disposition in which the charges are acknowledged, but the prosecutor does not hand over the suspect to trial in consideration of extenuating circumstances.

Yoon was accused of assaulting a woman he met for the first time at a wedding reception of an acquaintance held at a pub in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul last November.

When the incident became known, Jannabi's agency Peponi Music issued a statement and said, "I heard about the incident through Yoon Gyeol, the party involved, but it is embarrassing because it is different from what was reported in the news."
