Early voting turnout 18.39% as of 4 p.m.… 8 million voted

The National Election Commission announced that the voter turnout was 18.39% today (28th) at 4 pm, the second day of early voting for the 8th National Simultaneous Local Election.

Voting began at 6 a.m. at polling stations across the country, and 8.14 million out of 44.3 million voters completed their voting.

The region with the highest voter turnout by 4 p.m. was Jeonnam (28.47%), followed by Gangwon (22.88%), Jeonbuk (22.22%), Gyeongbuk (21.13%), and Sejong (19.46%).

The lowest place was Daegu with 13.12%, and Gwangju with 15.36% was the second lowest after Daegu.
