Born in Mapo-gu, Seoul in 1996, the second of a son and two daughters, Choi graduated from Hansung Science High School and Korea University, and joined SK Energy this year.

Her family said, "She was a strong daughter who was good at her job, and as a mood maker among her siblings, she always made those around her feel good," she recalled Choi.

She continued, "She decided to donate because she thought that if she donated, she wouldn't say goodbye, but that she could live with her somewhere."

Her father, Myung-geun Choi, said to her daughter, "It was a short life, but to our family, she was the prettiest daughter and a good daughter."

Lee Ho-jeong, a social worker in charge of treating Choi's bereaved family, said, "It is difficult to dare to comprehend the sorrow of a family who suddenly parted from a daughter who must have been more proud than anyone else.
