The victim's father appealed to the police for self-defence, but after the incident, he received a reply that self-defense did not take place because he assaulted the assailant.
When the incident became known, many people were outraged, and Mr. A, the mother of the victim girl, shared the situation and current situation at the time of the assault through an online community on the 25th.
Person A said, "(At the time of the incident) I purposely set the table to the very corner of the restaurant. However, the mother of the assailant has a completely different attitude from the first time, and just as her son's symptoms got worse because of the father of the child, they dropped the accusation and withdrew each other's medical expenses. Mr. A said that he contacted several lawyers' offices, but received an answer that it is not easy to punish schizophrenia patients under the current Korean law.

"We should not treat all schizophrenic patients as potential criminals, but we need proper punishment and management for mentally ill people who commit crimes," he said.
