Hijacking Hackers can hijack accounts even before the user signs up
Google has corrected with the latest version of its browser,
Google Chrome
, a total of
32
different vulnerabilities that could
affect more than 3,000 million users
worldwide.
According to the company's latest publication, one of these vulnerabilities was categorized as
a critical risk threat
(CVE-2022-1853), and affects IndexedDB, which offers access to structured data within the browser.
In total, the latest Chrome update, version 102, fixes 32 vulnerabilities, and apart from the critical one,
eight have also been categorized as high risk
, another
nine as medium risk
and
six as low risk
.
Google has announced the monetary amounts it has allocated to users, some of them anonymous, who have detected these vulnerabilities.
These range between
500 and 10,000 euros
.
To address these issues, Google has announced the release of Chrome 102 in the stable channel for Windows (102.0.5005.61/62/63 and 102.0.5005.61 for Mac and Linux, which will arrive in the coming days via a browser update.
