A man was stabbed at the end of a party in the town of Morangis, in Essonne, on Sunday morning.

An individual allegedly stabbed the 28-year-old victim to death, but also injured several other people.

An investigation has been opened for intentional homicide. 

A 28-year-old man died Sunday morning on an evening out in Morangis, Essonne, after being attacked with a knife.

According to a source close to the case, an individual allegedly struck several people with a knife as they left a private party around 6 a.m. Sunday morning in Morangis, a town in the southern suburbs of Paris.

The alleged perpetrator, who fled, injured several people and fatally hit the 28-year-old victim.

According to the source familiar with the matter, the author of the stab wounds was "a priori not part of the evening".

His motive is currently unknown.

An investigation was opened for intentional homicide and entrusted to the judicial police of Essonne, said the prosecution of Evry.

Friday in Essonne, a 26-year-old man died after being stabbed in the throat in another case, "a transaction that would have gone wrong" according to a source familiar with the matter.

After fleeing, the alleged attacker was finally taken into custody on Saturday evening.
