Yesterday (19th) around 8:50 pm, a large explosion occurred at the S-Oil plant in the Onsan Industrial Complex in Ulju-gun, Ulsan.
It is known that nine people, including employees of the company and subcontractors, were injured in the explosion and taken to the hospital.
Of these, six were seriously injured, but it was reported that there were no life-threatening injuries.
The fire department issued a 'second stage response', mobilizing all personnel and equipment from the adjacent fire station 50 minutes after the explosion.
Residents more than 10 kilometers away were also reported to have been shocked by the strong explosion at the time of the accident.
The fire department expected that it would take some time for the fire to be fully completed due to the strong flames and high fever.
