An anonymous businessman in his 50s donated his entire property worth 30 billion won to KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).

KAIST's side announced yesterday (9th) that he was "the youngest donor who has donated 30 billion won or more to KAIST," while announcing this donation by Mr. A in his 50s.

It is known that Mr. A refused to reveal his identity, such as his name and exact age, and refused to participate in donation signing events or meeting with school officials.

When he met with the school to donate, he wore a hat and mask to hide his face.

According to KAIST, Mr. A has always built his fortune with the spirit of frugality and has consistently supported the underprivileged and patients with incurable diseases for over 10 years.

Person A said, "There has always been a burden of accumulating more money than is necessary to live.

He continued, "I feel apologetic for passing the responsibility for a large amount of money on to KAIST. "He said.

This donation by Mr. A is the largest anonymous donation since the establishment of KAIST.

Previously, KAIST received a total of KRW 13.5 billion from other anonymous donors in 2017 and 2020.

President Lee Kwang-hyung of KAIST said, "I sincerely thank the donor who made the big decision to donate all his fortune at a young age in his 50s." We plan to use the donations.”
