The funeral for actress Kang Su-yeon, who passed away yesterday (the 7th), was prepared and mourning began at 10 o'clock a little while ago.

The burial place of actress Kang Su-yeon, who passed away yesterday, was set up at the funeral hall of Samsung Hospital in Seoul.



While the bereaved family and film industry officials are currently guarding the mortuary, people from all walks of life and citizens have begun to visit the deceased.



The funeral of the deceased will be held with a film director, and the funeral director will be Kim Dong-ho, chairman of the Gangneung International Film Festival, who has a close relationship with the deceased.



Actor Kang Su-yeon, who collapsed at his home on the 5th and was receiving treatment at the hospital, died at the age of 55 after not regaining consciousness at around 3 pm yesterday.



Kang received the Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in Im Kwon-taek's 1987 film, 'The Seed,' and also in 1989, the Moscow Film Festival for Best Actress for Im Kwon-taek's 'Azee Azebaraze'.



Starting as a child actor, he has appeared in 40 films, and he has established himself as a representative actor in Korea by appearing in many box-office films such as 'Whale Hunting 2', 'Mimi and Cheolsu's Youth Sketch', and 'Blue in You'.



Mr. Kang was also an action filmmaker and film administrator who campaigned to protect the screen quota and served as the executive chairman of the Busan International Film Festival.



Recently, he returned to the scene after 9 years of short Juri and appeared in Netflix's new film 'Jungi', but in the end, this movie became Kang's last work.



The funeral of the late actress Kang Su-yeon will be held on the 11th and will be broadcast live through the YouTube channel of the Korean Film Council.
