A 20-year-old man who assaulted his two-month-old son and put him in critical condition when his wife, who was assaulted by him, ran away from home, appealed against the verdict of the first trial.

That's why the sentence is too heavy.

According to the Incheon District Court today (the 6th), A was sentenced to two years in prison for child abuse and serious injury, abandoned and neglected children under the Child Welfare Act, and injury at the first trial held on the 29th of last month by the 15th Criminal Division (Judge Lee Kyu-hoon). (21) recently filed an appeal with the court.

At the time, Mr. A was ordered to complete 40 hours of child abuse treatment program and to be restricted from employment at child-related institutions for 5 years.

However, it is reported that Mr. A appealed on the grounds that the sentence of the first trial was too heavy.

The prosecution, who had asked for three years in prison in the previous trial, has not appealed so far, but as defendant A appeals, the second trial in this case is scheduled to be held at the Seoul High Court.

Mr. A was arrested and charged with assaulting his 2-month-old son, group B, at his home in Jung-gu, Incheon from December 3 to 13 last year and putting him in critical condition due to cerebral hemorrhage.

In November of the same year, Mr. A assaulted his wife while having a couple quarrel over financial problems, and after her wife ran away, it was investigated that he committed the crime under extreme stress while taking care of Army B alone.

It was found that Mr. A was given a bath, and when group B did not stop convulsing, he hit his head hard in the bathtub, assaulted his butt and head several times, or shook his head up and down vigorously for 3 minutes enough to break the body of group B, who was two months old.

Group B was diagnosed with a traumatic subdural hemorrhage (cerebral hemorrhage) due to an assault by his father.
