In Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, a woman who was being protected was stabbed to death and the police launched an investigation.
According to the police and fire department, today (6th) 2:17 pm in an apartment in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, a woman in her 40s was found dead with a knife stabbed in her stomach and side.
Before her death, Mr. A made an emergency report to the police with her smart watch, and the police and firefighters rushed to the scene.
The police registered her as a custodian by giving her Mr. A her smart watch this morning.
Mr. A said she called 112 yesterday around 8 pm and complained of her anxiety that she was being threatened by a man she knew before. I was given a smart watch in the process.
Mr. A called the police with her smart watch at 2:17 pm today, and the police arrived at the scene at 2:24 pm, but she was dead.
The police determined that A was in danger and issued her smart watch, registering her as a personal protection target.
Police checked the apartment CCTV and identified 40-year-old B as the suspect, who entered the apartment about an hour before reporting the smart watch.
Mr. B surrendered himself to the eastern part of Daejeon at around 4:20 pm today, and the police have urgently arrested Mr. B and are investigating the details of the incident.
