• With sales constantly on the rise in France, the world of broom vacuum cleaners is attracting the greed of manufacturers.

  • In a universe where the offer is already vast, Samsung innovates with its Bespoke Jet.

  • Sold from 799 euros, this broom vacuum cleaner has a charging station on which the device will get rid of the dirt it has sucked up.

This is the equipment for the home that more and more French people want to buy: the broom vacuum cleaner.

With sales increasing by +2.6% in 2021 (after a 13% increase in 2020, according to Gifam), the battery-operated device eliminates some of the household chore thanks to to its great maneuverability.

No more heavy canister vacuum cleaner and its power cable!

Samsung understood this well by launching Bespoke Jet.

Another broom vacuum?

Yes, but this one does more than the others.

To find out if its promises were kept, "20 Minutes" did the big cleaning!

A concept that is not new

The idea that differentiates Samsung's Bespoke Jet from its competitors is ultimately not so new.

It is based on the one that iRobot had imagined in 2019 for its i7+.

Once full of dust collected on the floors, this robot vacuum cleaner returned to its charging base to automatically offload its cargo.

This recipe, which simplifies the user's task, is now available for a broom.

The Bespoke Jet thus has a charging base on which the vacuum cleaner automatically empties the contents of its 0.5 liter tank.

On testing, the system works perfectly as we have seen.

A particularly hygienic system

Once the cleaning is done and the vacuum cleaner placed on its base, all you have to do is press a button for the dirt contained in its collector to be sucked up and directed into a 2-litre antibacterial dust bag.

Two advantages: for each use, the user of the Bespoke Jet has a recharged vacuum cleaner, relieved of the dust stored previously.

Above all, this system is particularly hygienic.

Anyone who has ever emptied the tank of an upright vacuum cleaner into a bin knows that it is not uncommon for some of the dust stored in its collector to scatter, sometimes even going so far as to create a small cloud of dirt that better avoid breathing.

Here, none of that.

What's more: with a capacity of 2 liters, the bag housed in the base will not have to be changed too frequently and, when replaced, its small plastic valve will prevent dust from escaping.

It takes an expense of 20 euros for 5 antibacterial bags.

Still, the base of the Bespoke Jet (named Clean Station) is quite impressive.

Measuring 1.15 meters in height (including vacuum cleaner), its diameter is 15 cm, with a footprint of 30 cm.

Imposing… As design as it is, not sure that the object is based in an interior decoration…

Up to 50 minutes of use

In use, the Bespoke Jet proves to be flexible.

Lightweight (2.5 kg), the vacuum cleaner is very handy.

Supplied with various motorized brushes (all floors, parquet floors, animals), as well as with a nozzle and a brush head for sofas and armchairs, it has four suction powers.

These have a considerable influence on its usage time: from 50 minutes in MIN mode, to 9 minutes in JET mode.

The remaining time is constantly indicated on a small LCD screen during use.

The use of each and the nature of the floors to be cleaned make it possible to envisage complete vacuuming sessions.

During our tests, the Bespoke Jet did not fail in its task and was able to carry out very satisfactory cleanings on various types of floor.

To verify this, we notably vacuumed tiny sesame seeds and grains of rice successively placed on tiled floors and carpets.

Measured at 74 db (A), the noise level of the vacuum cleaner is not annoying, but far from being discreet.

Still, the Bespoke Jet is one of the most expensive in its class.

Sold from 799 euros (the Bespoke Jet Pro Extra offered at 1099 euros is supplied with a washing brush and an additional battery), this stick vacuum cleaner - which is also easy to maintain - is one of the best we have been able to test. , with indisputable performance, but which often comes at a high price.
