The wedding scene of a Ukrainian nurse who lost both her legs and fingers when a landmine exploded during the war is moving publicly.

A surgical ward in Lviv, western Ukraine.

The bride Oksana in a wedding dress dances in the arms of her groom Victor.

Victor danced slowly, lifting the body of Oksana, who had lost her leg, and Oksana wept with emotion.

Oksana said she stepped on a landmine on her way home with Victor in Rishchansk, Russian-occupied Luhansk province, last March.

Victor was not hurt thanks to her Oksana's warning, but Oksana eventually lost both of her legs and four fingers on her left hand.

Oksana, who was receiving her treatment, arrived in Le Viu last month to have her prosthetic leg installed.

Oksana and Victor, who decided to have their wedding here, became a couple with the help of hospital volunteers.
