The police charged two police officers who were dismissed for negligence in response to the Incheon inter-floor noise and knife riot, and handed them over to the prosecution.

It was judged that their actions outside the scene at the time of the incident corresponded to 'abandonment of duty' that violated police officer duties, such as protecting victims and arresting suspects.

However, at the time when they were accused of the same charges, the Incheon Nonhyeon Police Station and Mo district commander were found to be difficult to apply and decided not to appeal.
