The police launched an investigation after the death of a 13-month-old baby in foster care before adoption.

Suspected abuse was found on the baby's body, including burns and bruises.



According to the Namyangju Nambu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province, a 119 report was received today (2nd) at around 2 am from a foster home in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, saying that 13-month-old group A is not breathing.



An ambulance dispatched to the scene performed CPR on group A and took him to the hospital, but he died in the end.



In the process, circumstances that could be suspected of abuse, such as burns and bruises on the body of group A, were detected, and the police launched an investigation.



Pre-adoption foster care allows prospective adoptive parents to stay with the adopted child and form an attachment relationship before formal adoption with the permission of the family court.



The police are investigating the cause of death and abuse of group A against the foster parents.
