A 30-year-old man who assaulted a manager after a karaoke receptionist who was a minor refused to trade in prostitution was commuted at the appeals court.

The 5th division of the Daejeon District Court's Criminal Court (Presiding Judge Lee Kyung-hee) announced today (2nd) that it had renounced 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment in the first instance and sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for A (36), who was handed over to trial on charges of special injury.

Mr. A was drinking with his acquaintances at a karaoke bar in Seo-gu, Daejeon around 1:00 am on February 15 last year, and offered to prostitute B (13), a customer service worker, but was rejected.

Enraged at this, Mr. A summoned C (18), the store manager, and was handed over to trial on charges of assaulting his face and head several times with a microphone and fists.

Mr. A pursued and assaulted Army C when he escaped the karaoke room, and in the process, he threatened to say he was a famous gangster in Daejeon.

Group C suffered three weeks of anterior injuries, including a broken nasal bone.

Previously, it was confirmed that Mr. A was sentenced to 8 months in prison for violating the Employment Security Act in September 2017 and was released from prison on May 6 of the following year.

The first trial court sentenced them to two years and six months in prison, saying, "The defendant, a minor, assaulted and seriously injured the victim for refusing prostitution."

Dissatisfied with the judgment of the first instance, Mr. A filed an appeal.

In response, the court of appeals judged that "the crime is heavy in light of the motive, content, and degree of injury," but "they acknowledged the crime, and reached an agreement with the victim after reaching an appeals court, taking into account the fact that the victim does not want punishment." .
