On a home appliance sales site, there is an article on the sale of a tower-type product that combines a washing machine and dryer with high-end specifications.

The price is 2.55 million won, which is about 600-700,000 won cheaper than the market price.

It has almost the same design as the famous brand online mall, and is also available on large portal shopping sites.

But this site is fake.

Three people, including 29-year-old A, cheated that they were selling high-end home appliances at 30-40% cheaper than the market price and took only the money.

They even called victims who placed orders through the portal, persuading them to pay again on the fake site.

This was to avoid the portal's scrutiny of fraud.

They seduced them by saying that they would give you a 10% discount if you send money to their own account, and then they took the money and hid.

Only 50 confirmed victims, including newlyweds and electronic product suppliers, have been identified nationwide, and the amount of damage has reached 100 million won.

[Online Scam Victim: I'm urging you to buy quickly because the item is running out of stock.

So, without much doubt, I proceeded to purchase the product.]

On the 29th of last month, the police arrested three people, including a 29-year-old man, and arrested two operators.

[Kim Yeon-hong / Head of Cyber Investigation Team, Dunsan Police Station, Daejeon: If the price is excessively lower than the market price, you need to check whether the site is a ghost site, and if you request a transfer of the goods to an account, you need to be suspicious.

] If there is any, please call 182.
