A man in his 40s, who was identified as a suspect in the murder of a woman in her 60s at Jugong Apartment in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, was arrested at a lodging facility in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, around 1 am on the 25th.



The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced that at 0:57 a.m. on the same day, a man in his 40s who was hiding in a motel room in Bucheon was arrested on suspicion of murder.



Police have identified and traced Park as a suspect through CCTV analysis, apartment resident statements, and on-site fingerprints.



Park said that after her crime, she changed taxis and stayed in a motel repeatedly.



The police received an arrest warrant at 11:30 pm the day before, and executed the warrant for Park on the same day.



Park stated that while struggling to pay for the eviction and moving of her rented apartment, her neighbor, the victim, Kim, broke in and killed her, expecting him to carry a lot of money.



A police official said, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Park while investigating the exact motive, details, and damage items."
