A man in his 60s was found dead on a road in a tunnel in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the police launched an investigation.
According to the Bucheon Ojeong Police Station today (24th), at around 10:20 last night, a report was received by 119 that a man in his 60s, A, had collapsed in an operating tunnel in Bucheon.
Person A was taken to a nearby hospital by 119 paramedics without breathing or pulse, but eventually died.
It was found that he was bleeding and collapsed between the 2nd and 3rd lanes of the one-way 3-lane road in the tunnel.
The police will request an autopsy of Mr. A's body to the National Institute of Scientific Investigation and will investigate the exact circumstances of the incident based on eyewitness statements.
A police official added, "There was no circumstance that Mr. A was in a car accident, but there was trauma to his head and back."
