A pile of shotgun ammunition was found in a parcel box that was intended to be disposed of because the delivery address was unknown, and the police began to investigate the circumstances.

According to the Gwangju Police Station in Gwangju today (21st), a report was received from a courier company that contained shotgun bullets in an unknown delivery box.

Police identified and collected 250 rounds of shotgun ammunition in the delivery box.

The courier, who reported to the police, kept the box for the past three months because the waybill fell during delivery and the destination was unknown.

The company found a shotgun cartridge while disposing of a parcel that had not been found after the storage period had expired.

The courier company explained to the police that it does not treat guns or live ammunition as deliverables.

The police plan to investigate the illegality of live ammunition transactions using couriers and conduct investigations if suspected crimes are revealed.
