In an Instagram

video

that Guinness World Records shared Thursday, Shore reveals that

Toby Keith was born on January 9, 2001.

The footage includes snaps of the pet getting up close to Shore, who also has two parrots and two other dogs.

The proud owner told Guinness World Records that she believes Toby Keith's

healthy diet

of "vegetables, rice and chicken and no sugary treats" and his

daily walks have kept him living beyond the average life expectancy of a Chihuahua.

, which is from 14 to 16 years old.

The

Guinness World Record

for oldest dog belongs to a dog named

Bluey who lived in Australia

.

Bluey was born in 1910 and died on November 14, 1939, at the age of 29 years and five months.
