It was belatedly known that a non-commissioned officer belonging to the military unit in charge of security outside the Blue House committed suicide by using a gun.

According to the Army today (20th), Sergeant A belonging to the 1st Guards of the Capital Defense Command (Subangsa) made an extreme choice with a K2 rifle in his car in the parking lot in Bukaksocho, about 1km away from the Blue House on the 12th.

The day before his death, Sergeant A stole live ammunition from the normally sealed and maintained ammunition locker while on duty on the Agan border in Socho, and it is known that the Subangsa was unaware of this fact.

In response, some are pointing out that the ammunition management of the military base in charge of guarding the presidential office and the outskirts of the official residence is poor.

While the military authorities are currently investigating the matter, it is unknown why Sergeant A made the extreme choice.

A military official said, "We plan to check the management system and come up with countermeasures by investigating the exact cause of death and how the live ammunition was leaked."

This is a 'news pick'.
