A dog buried alive in Jeju was found and the police launched an investigation.

The Jeju Western Police Department announced today (20th) that they started an investigation after receiving a report that a dog suspected of being abused was found.

This dog was discovered by a resident at around 8:50 am yesterday, with all parts except the nose buried in the ground near Dogeuncheon Stream in Naedo-dong, Jeju-si.

In particular, stones were placed on the ground where the dogs were buried.

Through a post on a used goods trading site, the reporter said, "An acquaintance found the dog and rescued the dog immediately. I reported it to the police."

After receiving the report, the police checked the dog's registration chip and confirmed that the dog was a poodle with an owner.

A police official said, "The rescued dog has been handed over to a shelter through Jeju City Hall." "The details of the incident are being investigated."

Earlier, on the 13th, an abandoned dog with its snout and front paws tied with twine and tape was found near the Hallim Shelter, a shelter for abandoned dogs in Hallim-eup, Jeju City.

The police, who received the case through the National Shinmungo, are investigating, but there is no CCTV near the scene of the incident, and it is difficult to identify the suspect because it is far from a private house.
