Parents in their 20s who starved their 31-month-old daughter to death and neglected their 17-month-old son have pleaded guilty to all charges in court.

At the first hearing held today (the 20th) at the hearing of the 11th criminal division of the Ulsan District Court (Chief Judge Park Hyun-bae), the lawyers of parents A and B, who were charged with violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes (Child Abuse and Murder), were charged. They all acknowledged it.

They were indicted on the 30th of last month on charges of letting young children die by neglecting to feed them on time from October last year to the beginning of last month.

As a result, the daughter died, and the son was found on the 3rd of last month in very bad health.

At the time, the prosecution said, "Recognizing that if food is not given, the child can die, but he neglected it and judged that the murder was intentional."

According to the prosecution's indictment, they were found to have been abused by children who could not overcome their hunger, pinching their cheeks or hitting their heads in anger, such as rummaging through the garbage and cluttering the house.

Mr. B also saw her 31-month-old daughter lying on the floor eating dog food from hunger before she died, and without taking any special measures to protect it, she took a picture and sent it to Mr. A.

All those who appeared in court admitted to the crime that day.

A said, "As a mother, I'm sorry that I couldn't take care of my children."

Their next trial is scheduled for May 27.
