<Reporter> The

puppy is buried deep in the soil.

Only part of the mouth and nose are exposed so that you can barely breathe.

Heo Jae-moon, who first discovered and rescued the dog, said he dug up the soil with his bare hands as soon as he saw the buried puppy.

[Heo Jae-moon / Dog Rescuer: When I took it out, I just stumbled (buried) and it seems like it has been about 3 days.

All ribs are exposed and all spines are visible.

So much so that I can hardly stand...

At the time of discovery, the puppy had no strength and was unable to bark properly.

This is where the dog was found.

It was covered with these heavy stones to prevent it from coming out on its own.

The rescued puppy is currently under temporary care at the abandoned animal protection center.

At the Jeju Animal Protection Center, where the puppy temporarily stayed, he has completed a health checkup and simple treatment.

[Ko Min-soo / Veterinarian: Skin disease and a wound on the right front paw were confirmed, so I took action.

I'm in an anxious state right now, so I'm going to wait a little while for treatment.]

As a result of checking the internal chip, the rescued puppy was confirmed to be a female poodle born in October 2015.

A dog owner was also identified, who claimed to have lost the dog during a police investigation.

On the 13th, in Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, a 'Juhongi' with its snout and forelegs tied tightly was discovered and aroused public outrage.

Currently, Ju Hong-i has recovered to some extent and is being cared for by a temporary guardian.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident, such as checking CCTV near the dog's discovery site.
