Prosecutor General Kim Oh-soo, who started working again at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.

It was evaluated that President Moon Jae-in listened to the prosecution's opinions for 70 minutes during the interview, which in itself meant a lot.

President Kim mentioned specific alternatives, saying that he would submit his opinions directly to the National Assembly on behalf of the members of the prosecution while respecting the authority of the National Assembly.

[Kim Oh-soo / Prosecutor General: Rather than the Inspection and Overhaul Bill, for example, there seems to be a way in the National Assembly to enact a special law to secure the impartiality and neutrality of the prosecution investigation.]

President Kim is also related to the ongoing investigation with the Prosecutor General, the High Prosecutor's Office and the Chief of the Prosecutor's Office. It was also suggested that it would be possible to have them attend the National Assembly and ask questions about current issues privately.

He also added that if the neutrality and fairness of the prosecution's investigation are in question, then it is necessary to proceed with a resolution to impeach the prosecutor.

Taking the precedent of retaining the investigative authority instead of abolishing the prosecutor's authority to lead the investigation during the 2019 prosecution reform discussion, President Kim said, "This time, we can discuss the possibility of reviving the investigative authority and abolishing the investigative authority."

However, the Supreme Prosecutor's Office stated that Kim's remarks on the abolition of investigative powers were not included in the alternative reported to the president yesterday, and that the Supreme Prosecutor's Office had never considered it.

In the midst of this, about 150 representatives of public prosecutors from across the country are scheduled to meet this evening at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office to hold a meeting to respond to the Inspection and Overhaul Bill.
