SBS conducted an exclusive interview with Cho Jae-bin, the first deputy chief of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, who investigated the 'valley murder case'.

Deputy Director Cho told SBS reporters that there was a lot of evidence at the time the case was first forwarded, but it was insufficient to prove a murder charge.

It was also revealed for the first time that the suspects Lee Eun-hae and Jo Hyeon-soo had fled the country right after their disappearance.

Deputy Director Cho said that there were many difficulties while tracing the traces of the two people traveling around the country, such as Busan, Seosan, and Gimhae, but they were able to arrest them through a joint investigation with the police.

Since the two people faithfully participated in the investigation in the first subpoena, the investigation proceeded without detention, and at a certain point in time, they tried to investigate, but they escaped, Deputy Director Cho explained.

The future direction of the investigation will focus on uncovering the murder charges of Lee Eun-hae and Jo Hyun-soo, and he showed confidence in proving the charges that there would be no problem in prosecuting them.
