The prosecution's investigation into Lee Eun-hae and Jo Hyeon-soo, the suspects in the 'valley murder' case, began in earnest today (17th), the second day of the arrest.

The 2nd Detective Division of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office has called Lee and Cho from the Incheon Detention Center from 10 am today and is investigating charges such as murder and attempted murder.

Prosecutors are also planning to investigate whether there is any facilitator who helped them escape before the second investigation by the prosecution on December 14 of last year and the escape route until they were arrested four months after they disappeared.

Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho were arrested by the police at an officetel in Deokyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 12:25 pm yesterday and sent to the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office, where they were investigated until late at night.

It is reported that they did not make a proper statement during yesterday's investigation, such as evading answers to questions from prosecutors and investigators.

The prosecution plans to file an arrest warrant for Lee and Cho, who were arrested according to the arrest warrant, to the court as early as late tonight or tomorrow morning (18th) at the latest.

Suspects secured by an emergency arrest or arrest warrant must file an arrest warrant with the court or release them within 48 hours.

Lee is accused of killing his husband, Mo Yoon, along with his ex-boyfriend, Jo, on June 30, 2019, around 8:24 PM in Yongso Valley, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do.

Prosecutors believe that they killed Yoon, who could not swim at all, because he did not rescue him after enticing him to dive in a valley on his own.

They are also accused of trying to kill Yoon in February and May of the same year by eating food mixed with puffer fish blood or drowning it in a fishing spot.

Prosecutors believe that they committed the crime for the purpose of receiving 800 million won in life insurance money in Yoon's name.
