A man in his 30s, who set fires to two shopping malls overnight, injuring two people, has been arrested by the police.



The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station urgently arrested a man in his 30s at around 6 am today (15th) on charges of arson and murder of a building in Hyeonju.



During the police investigation, Mr. A admitted to the crime and stated that both shops entered to steal money.



Person A made a statement to the police with the purport that "I set fire to a fire with dissatisfaction with the world."



It is said that A was in a drunken state at the time of the crime.



Person A is suspected of setting fires twice in the Yeongdeungpo-gu area from the night before to the dawn of this day.



The first fire broke out in a two-story building in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu around 11:05 the night before and was extinguished in 20 minutes.



About 3 hours later, Mr. A found the 4th floor commercial building in Yeongdeungpo-dong and set it on fire again.



A man in his 60s, who was at the dance school on the third floor, was rescued from the building by firefighters and taken to the hospital under CPR, but he died.



A woman in her 70s, who was on the 4th floor of the same building, was taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke.



The fire completely burned the first and second floors of the shopping mall and was extinguished in 1 hour and 35 minutes.



After checking the CCTV, the police caught the suspicion of arson, and arrested Mr. A on the road near the second fire site.
