A man in his 30s driving while intoxicated hit and killed a middle school student on his way home.



The Busan Northern Police Station announced today (13th) that they had arrested a man in his 30s as a current offender for violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Crimes (Dangerous Driving Fatalities) and refusing to take a breathalyzer.



Person A is accused of striking and killing middle school student group B on the road near a mart in Gupo-dong, Buk-gu, Busan, around 9:58 the night before.



According to the police, Mr. A crashed into a mart parking lot breaker with his vehicle, went straight ahead, collided with a car, and hit Group B standing nearby.



At that time, group B was on the way home after completing the academy, and was transported to the hospital after the accident, but eventually died.



The police, who arrived after receiving the report, requested a breathalyzer test for A, but A did not respond.

It is said that A was in a state of intoxication.



A police official said, "At the scene of the accident, Mr. A appeared to be drunk, such as staggering or using a slurred tone.



The police are planning to apply for an arrest warrant for A.
