When the verdict of the Doubs Assize Court was announced and after four hours of deliberation, the Chilean Nicolas Zepeda, the 31-year-old young man, against whom life imprisonment had been requested, was remained frozen, looking dejected.
Chilean Nicolas Zepeda was sentenced on Tuesday to 28 years in prison for the 2016 murder in Besançon of his former Japanese girlfriend Narumi Kurosaki.
