A firefighter, who was taking a walk with his family on a day off, quickly extinguished a fire in a restaurant to prevent casualties. 



According to the Pohang Northern Fire Department today (11th), Joo-hyung (41), the fire chief of the Yeongdeok Fire Station, was walking along the beach around 6:10 pm on the 9th with his family in the Yeongdae beach in Duho-dong, Buk-gu, Pohang-si. .



Fire Chief Cho first evacuated the citizens to a safe place and then asked to call 911.

He then proceeded with the initial evolution using six fire extinguishers he had around. 



When the fire brigade in charge arrived at the scene, the fire was almost completely extinguished, and the fire was completely extinguished 9 minutes after the 119th crew arrived. 



The fire caused property damage estimated at 2.15 million won by the fire department, such as burning the outer wall of the sushi restaurant and three aquarium coolers, but fortunately there were no casualties.  




The owner of the sashimi restaurant said on SNS, "When a fire broke out on the cooler side of the aquarium, a firefighter who was spending time with his family came running. There was no major damage because he and the people around him did a good job at the initial stage. Thank you." told 



"There were dozens of people in the store at the time of the fire," said the 119th crew members who were dispatched to the scene. 



“Any firefighter who witnessed the fire would have acted instinctively,” said Fire Chief George Hyeong.
