Her biological mother, Mr. A, left her son alone at home for 20 days and then returned home with her acquaintances.

There were no major injuries to her body, police said, but she was dwarfed by her age.

Mr. A separated from her husband a year ago and divorced a month ago.

Person A stated in the police investigation, "I left the child behind because I was struggling financially and psychologically."

The police reported that Mr. A stayed with his son at another acquaintance's house in Seoul, and there was also a report of abuse from an acquaintance saying, "The mother beats the child."

The police are investigating whether there was an intention to kill while arresting Mr. A on charges of child abuse and murder.
