Yes, I am standing in front of a gosiwon in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, where a fire broke out.

Fire trucks are lined up at the site to put out the fire.

It was around 6:30 am today that a fire broke out in the Goshiwon, which is located on the 3rd floor and the 1st basement floor.

Immediately after receiving the report, the fire department issued the first stage of response to mobilize all personnel from the nearby fire department, and 42 units of equipment and 145 firefighters were put into the fight, and the big fire was extinguished around 7:15 am.

A and B, men in their 60s who lived in the gosiwon due to this fire, suffered whole-body burns and were transferred to a nearby hospital in cardiac arrest, but both died.

At the time, 16 people in the gosiwon evacuated themselves, and it was determined that there were no injuries.

A woman in her 70s from the building next door also inhaled her smoke and was taken to a nearby hospital, but her life is not known to be in jeopardy.

Police and fire departments are presuming that the fire started in a room on the second floor of the gosiwon.

As soon as the residual fire is cleaned up, the exact cause of the fire will be investigated without excluding the possibility of arson.
