Group chat rooms advocating Lee Eun-hae (31), the suspect in the 'valley murder' case, are causing controversy.

In a chat room with about 30 people, a notice was posted saying, "Crime is not important. Face is important. If you are pretty, anything (everything) is forgiven."



In the chat room, netizens posted articles defending the suspect, such as "Honestly, if Lee Eun-hae did something wrong, it would be a pretty sin."



They also posted articles that blamed the victim, such as "Why did I get gaslighted?" or "I did it all myself."



"Are you crazy?"

There were posts criticizing the chat room participants, but they continued to defend the suspect, saying, "If you're not prettier than Lee Eun-hae, you don't have the right to swear."



Yoon-seong Oh, a professor of police administration at Soonchunhyang University, explained, "It seems that people who want to reveal their presence are doing this by relying on anonymity."



He also pointed out, "People who post comments mocking the victim are expressing the sadism they harbored in their hearts."



On the other hand, Internet communities and open chat rooms have emerged to help arrest Lee Eun-hae and accomplice Jo Hyeon-soo (30).

Lee is accused of murdering her husband A (age 39 at the time of death) in Yongso Valley in Gapyeong-gun around 8:24 pm on June 30, 2019, along with his ex-boyfriend, Jo Hyun-soo.



In February and May of the same year, they were also accused of trying to kill Mr. A by eating food mixed with pufferfish blood or drowning it in a fishing spot.



Mr. Lee is also said to have stolen more than 20 million won through the so-called 'card gang' with his family card before Mr. A's death.
