Two people died from the Coast Guard helicopter that flew quickly through the dark night sky to help with the rescue operation.

One was a veteran pilot and one was about to get married.

Our reporter is out at the Busan Citizens' Funeral Home where the mortuary is located.

Reporter Hong Seung-yeon, are condolences being made now?

<Reporter>

Yes, I am now at the Busan Citizens' Funeral Home, where the burial places of the martyrs are prepared.

The burial place of Inspector Jeong Doo-hwan, the helicopter co-pilot, and Hwang Hyeon-jun, a former investigator who controls the helicopter radar, has been set up, but mourning has not been made yet.

The two deceased, who were transported from Jeju, are enshrined here, but as the search for the missing person is in progress, the Coast Guard will discuss with the bereaved family about whether to install a joint incense burner as soon as the search is complete.

In addition, procedures are underway to designate the martyrs as nationals of merit and promote them to the commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard.

[Hwang Sang-cheol / Late Superintendent Hwang Hyeon-jun Father: He went the way he wanted, but it is so unfortunate that he did not even see flowers bloom once.

He was going to get married next year, but an accident like this happened.]

The co-pilot, the late Inspector Jeong Doo-hwan, was a veteran pilot with over 3,100 helicopter flight hours.

The Coast Guard said that Inspector Jeong was actively involved in everything, including emergency rescue of 5 seriously ill patients at the time of the Tongyeong Monorail derailment accident last year.

The missing mechanic, Captain Cha Mo, is 42 years old and is said to have the best abilities as an engineer, and his family is eagerly waiting for him to return safely.
