It is not given to everyone to travel to the Moon in a rocket.

However, this is what NASA is proposing on the occasion of the Artemis I trip, reports

on Wednesday April 6.

It's been a month since the American space agency offers Internet users to register their first and last name so that they can be sent with the "Space Launch System" (SLS) which is due to take off in June from Cape Canaveral.

The campaign called "Send your name around the Moon" has already convinced more than 2 million people.

Their surname will be registered in a USB key “which will fly on board Artemis I”, underlines NASA.

The space agency is still waiting for other virtual candidates for lunar exploration.

To participate, simply go to the Artemis mission site, enter your first and last name and a 4 to 7 digit code.

A ticket to the Moon will then be created.

We will see his first and last name, as well as the logos of NASA and Artemis.

No astronauts for this mission

Artemis 1 is the first part of the Artemis program which will send astronauts to the Moon.

For this first mission, we will not find any man or woman.

The SLS launcher will simply bring the Orion capsule which will be placed in orbit around the Earth's natural satellite before returning to our planet.

It will be necessary to wait for Artemis 3 so that the astronauts set foot on the Moon.

The departure is not planned before the horizon 2025.

Preparations are well underway at the Cape Canaveral site where tests are underway.

On Saturday April 2, however, the launch pad was struck by lightning four times during a storm, NASA announced.

Apart from the delay, the American space agency does not deplore any damage.

If all goes well, the rocket could leave this June.
