▲ Lee Eun-hae (left), who is accused of murdering her husband with her boyfriend for insurance money.

She has been on the run for four months.

It has been revealed that Lee Eun-hae, the suspect in the 'Gapyeong Valley Murder Case', registered her marriage with her husband and intensively purchased several life insurance policies.

The monthly premium alone is at least 700,000 won, which is quite high.

According to the Ilsan Western Police Station and Life Insurance Association, etc. in Gyeonggi-do on the 6th, Mr. Lee signed up for four life insurance policies with his husband as the insured person in August 2017, five months after he and his husband A registered their marriage.

I also signed up for two non-life insurance products, which was also insured by his husband.

It has been confirmed that Mr. Lee has designated himself as the beneficiary when signing his insurance policies, and has been paying at least 700,000 won in premiums every month.

An official from the Life Insurance Association said, "The monthly premium is quite high, and it is not common to purchase four life insurance policies at once."

Meanwhile, while Mr. Lee was paying high insurance premiums, it is known that his husband, Mr. A, suffered considerable hardship.

Looking at the messages that Mr. A sent to his wife, Mr. Lee, while he was alive, it was impossible to even buy a lunch box at a convenience store.

Mr. A said, "When the money comes in, please buy the groom's glasses and sneakers. I'm embarrassed because my shoes are torn.", "I sent all my paychecks. I don't have any money.", "Just deposit 10,000 won. I'll buy you a convenience store lunch box and bottled water."

She appealed to her wife, In Yi, for financial difficulties.

It is known that Mr. A, who has worked for a company for several years, earned an annual salary of 60 million won at the time.

Based on the circumstances revealed so far, the murder attempt against Mr. A has continued since Mr. Lee purchased insurance.

In February 2019, Lee Eun-hae and her girlfriend Jo Hyun-soo are accused of trying to kill A by feeding him food mixed with pufferfish poison at a pension in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon, but failing to do so due to insufficient lethality. An acquaintance found it while trying to force him to die, and he is charged with an attempt.

Just one month later, in June 2019, those who went to the Yongso Valley in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, are suspected of intentionally killing A without rescue after recommending him to dive.

The time of death of Mr. A was just four hours before the expiration of the statute of limitations for life insurance at the time.

Prosecutors believe that the murders were planned for 800 million won in life insurance money in their husband's name, and two previous attempted murder charges are also under investigation.

Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho, who have been running for four months, are still unknown.
