In Seoul, over the past five years (2017-2021), about 83,000 bicycles have been thrown away.

Each autonomous district collected and repaired these bicycles and made them into 'recycled bicycles', but in the meantime, they did not sell well, so they used to be disassembled into road scrap metal.

However, when we conducted a pilot online sale this year, the situation changed.

165 cars were sold in three months, which was calculated to reduce carbon emissions by 15,592 kg and is equivalent to reducing car traffic by 4,290 units.

It is said that the price of a recycled bicycle is between 70,000 won and 80,000 won per unit, and it is said that it is sold by word of mouth as 'good consumption' that is good for the environment and is produced these days.

Currently, it is only sold in two places, Gwangjin-gu and Yeongdeungpo-gu, but the city of Seoul announced that it will expand to 10 autonomous districts from tomorrow (8th) and sell recycled bicycles throughout Seoul by the end of the year.
