Prosecutors have asked for a prison sentence for a 20-year-old man who synthesized and sold the faces of minor celebrities and female nudes to earn pocket money.

Today (7th), the 2nd Criminal Division of the Jeju District Court (Judge Jin Jae-kyung) was charged with violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juvenile Sexuality (production and distribution of sexual exploitation, etc.) A decision hearing was held.

Person A is accused of selling a nude photo of a woman whose name is unknown and the face of a minor female celebrity.

According to the prosecution, from July 2021 to February 2022, Mr. A, a job seeker, created hundreds of photos by synthesizing the face of a minor female celebrity with the nude of an unknown woman, and posted it on social media or sent it to social media users. It was sold and distributed to make a profit.

A total of 6.6 million won in sales revenue earned by Mr. A through these crimes.

Person A, who was investigated for this, admitted all of his charges, such as stating, "I was trying to earn pocket money while preparing for her job."

In the end, the prosecution requested a six-year prison sentence for A.

Although A is the first offender, the reason was that the quality of the crime was extremely poor by producing and distributing child and adolescent sexual exploitation and false videos.

In the final argument, Mr. A's lawyer said, "I thought that Mr. A would stop the crime if he got a job, but he could not find a job, so he could not stop the crime on his own, so he ended up standing here." Please consider the fact that you have done it and that you are a first-time criminal with no criminal history.”

In the final statement, Mr. A also said, "I am very pathetic and disgusting," and "I will live my life with an apologetic heart for the victims and reflect on them."

This is a 'news pick'.
