International flights will increase starting from Europe and America, where quarantine and quarantine standards are relatively relaxed compared to Korea.

In addition, Southeast Asian routes, which are in high demand for travel, will also increase.

[Jeon Hae-cheol/Minister of Public Administration and Security: From next month, the number of weekly international flights will

be increased by 100 each month to the Americas, Europe, Thailand, Singapore, etc., where quarantine exemption and visa-free entry are possible.]

Regular international flights, which are 420 per month, will increase to 520 in May and 600 in June.

From July, we plan to increase the number of international flights by 300 flights a week every month to restore 9% of the pre-COVID-19 level of international flights to half in November.

Local airports such as Jeju International Airport, Muan and Cheongju Airports, which were suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak, will also resume operations sequentially from next month.

Korean Air plans to increase flights to Hawaii, Paris, and Guam next month, and Asiana Airlines plans to increase flights to Los Angeles and Sydney, etc. According to this government policy, it is highly likely to increase further.

Low-cost airlines are also planning to increase international flights mainly in Southeast Asia.

The demand for travel has increased significantly in recent years as self-quarantine exemption measures have been implemented when entering from overseas.

Major travel agencies said that after the government announced the quarantine exemption, the reservation rate for overseas travel has doubled.

However, submission of a PCR test negative confirmation remains compulsory upon entry, so if a positive test result is obtained from abroad, you will not be able to enter the country.
