Deputy director of the Judicial Research and Training Institute Han Dong-hoon, who was suspected of being involved in the so-called 'Channel A case' in which the media and the prosecution conspired to threaten prisoners, was acquitted after two years of prosecution.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office's Criminal Division 1 announced that the prosecution had dismissed the charges against Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who was accused of attempted coercion, on the grounds of insufficient evidence.

The investigation team reported the progress and plan of the investigation related to the Channel A case the day before (the 5th) to Lee Jung-soo, chief of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, who respected the opinion of the investigation team and approved it within two days.

Prosecutor Lee held a meeting with the chief prosecutor this morning and finally gathered his opinions on whether to admit the legal principles and facts.

Some deputy chief prosecutors and chief prosecutors attended this meeting, and it is known that there were no major differences.
