Yesterday (4th) around 7:40 pm, the forest fire at Cheongnyangsan Mountain, Hakam-dong, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do was extinguished in 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Gyeonggi Nambu Fire Department said, "The fire on Mt. Cheongnyang was completely extinguished at 11:23 pm."

There were no casualties in this fire, but forestry authorities believe that about 7 ha of forest was lost.

The fire is believed to have started in the vicinity of a factory in Cheongnyangsan, which is adjacent to the apartment complex.

Since then, the combustion has expanded to the north of Namhansanseong Fortress, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, over the ridge along the wind.

However, it is interpreted that the rapid extinguishing was possible as the wind did not blow strongly and hundreds of firefighters and firefighters responded in time.

It was determined that there was no direct damage to Namhansanseong Fortress while preventing the fire from spreading.

Residents of nearby apartment complexes, fearful that the fire might grow, could not sleep until late and went out in pajamas to observe the situation.

In an interview with SBS, Lee Myung-gi, the apartment manager, said, "It was an emergency that the fire might not fly, but I'm glad it went out quickly."

The Forest Service Investigation and Investigation Team will investigate the exact damage area and cause as soon as the sun rises.
