connection with the allegations that former Democratic Party presidential candidate Kim Hye-kyung's spouse, along with Lee Jae-myung, misappropriated her corporate card, the police began a search and seizure of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office.

From the morning of the 4th, Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency has dispatched about 10 investigators to the Gyeonggi Provincial Office to secure related data from departments such as the General Affairs Division.

The police plan to try to secure data on Kim's corporate card allegations as well as other allegations that have been filed with him, such as prescription drugs.

Previously, on the 25th of last month, it has been 10 days since the Gyeonggi Provincial Office filed a complaint with the police against Bae, a former grade 5 civil servant who is known to have accompanied Kim Hye-kyung to the police.

Bae is a key person in the allegation that he delivered beef, sushi, etc. to Kim's home in Sabundang using his colleague's personal card, and then had him repay with a corporate card such as the Gyeonggi General Affairs Division during business hours.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Government began its own audit in February and confirmed the use of corporate cards and statements of employees from the relevant departments.

Since then, it is known that Bae also asked for attendance and an explanation, but no contact was reached.

The police, who have received their own investigation data from Gyeonggi-do, plan to conduct a full-scale summons investigation after analyzing the data obtained through the search and seizure.
